Drag Queens + acceptance + changing the world

I popped on my high heels and lipstick and met up with girlfriends for dinner and a drag show.
He appeared on the stage, well over 180 cm tall (or 6 feet), with a bushy beard and big shoulders.
"Hi everybody, I feel like a really large man, squeezed into a really small white dress, but this is me."
What a fabulous opening line.
I thought more about his energy and the idea of acceptance. Actually, of my own acceptance. What I don't like so much about myself, my 'mistakes', what I have to learn, and where I can grow. It's important to me that I remain genuine, have a voice even if unpopular, and continue to challenge my thinking about life and all of her opportunities and challenges.
Yoko Ono, a Japanese artist, and musician and who became internationally famous as the wife and artistic partner of musician John Lennon has said:
You change the world by being yourself.
All change starts with me. Accepting the woman in the mirror.
